With the release of two versions of the passionate, gospel-inflected R&B ballad “One Love,” written by Katrina Watts-McFarland and bundled as a debut EP, the Smooth Jazz world is graced with the launch of Infinitive Vibes, a unique indie music collective whose goal is to create generational wealth by consistently releasing music of all genres, using a shared equity royalty split. Just as significantly, the lushly romantic tune introduces two off the charts talents – vocalist Brenda Roy and saxophonist Stabe Wilson – who each carry the emotional melody of their version backed by jazzy horns, a rousing choir of backing vocalists and the grooving support of top Bay Area studio musicians. Having performed with the likes of Lionel Richie, James Brown, Sheila E. and Pete Escovedo, Roy is currently on tour with Patti Labelle. Wilson’s resume features Edwin and Walter Hawkins, Donald Lawrence, Kirk Franklin, Howard Hewett, Tower Of Power and Eric Roberson.
